Seedream 5.0 Lite Prompts You Can Copy
A good Seedream 5.0 Lite prompt names the layout, the subject, the visual style and any on-image text, in that order, in one or two plain sentences. This page groups copy-ready Seedream prompts by use case (product images, infographics, comic panels, social cards and Chinese ink illustration), and each one can be opened in the GenTidy web studio.
Every prompt below is tagged with a GenTidy layout ID and style ID. Swap the bracketed parts for your own subject and text. In GenTidy, each image is a 2K Seedream 5.0 Lite generation for 10 credits. Learn more about the model on the Seedream 5.0 Lite page.
The Seedream prompt formula
The formula is Layout + Subject + Style + Text + Aspect, written as plain sentences rather than a keyword list.
| Part | What to write | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Layout | The structure of the image | "A four-step how-to graphic in a 2×2 grid" |
| Subject | What the image is about, with concrete details | "a pour-over coffee kit: kettle, dripper, filter, mug" |
| Style | The look, color and lighting | "clean flat vector illustration, soft pastel colors" |
| Text | Exact words in double quotes, and where they go | "title at top reading \"Brew in 4 Steps\"" |
| Aspect | The shape of the image | "3:4 vertical" |
BytePlus's guidance for Seedream is to describe the subject, action and environment in coherent natural language, then add style, color, lighting and composition. Keep prompts under about 600 English words.

How to keep text on the image readable
Text stays readable when you keep it short, put it in double quotes and say exactly where it goes. A few habits help:
- Quote every word you want printed, and keep each label to one to four words.
- Say the position and size: "large title at top", "small label under each icon".
- Limit the count. Five labels are easier to get right than fifteen.
- Use plain backgrounds behind text, such as white space or a solid banner.
- Proofread every image before you publish it, and regenerate if a word is wrong.
Save and reuse your prompts
GenTidy saves the prompt with every image it generates, so you can find a past image and generate again from the same prompt (in the Mac app, its versions are kept too). Keep your own best prompts as a short list grouped by use case, and change only the subject and text each time.

FAQ
How long should a Seedream prompt be? One to three plain sentences is usually enough. BytePlus recommends keeping Seedream prompts under 600 English words or 300 Chinese characters, because very long prompts can cause details to be dropped.
Should I write Seedream prompts in English or Chinese? Either works. BytePlus's documentation states that Seedream supports Chinese and English prompts, so write in the language you think in. Quote any on-image text in the language you want printed.
How do I put readable text in a Seedream image? Put each word in double quotes, say where it goes, keep labels short and proofread the result before you publish it.
Can I reuse these prompts with other models? Yes. They are written as plain sentences, so other image models can use them, though results will differ. The layout and style IDs only apply in GenTidy.
Are these prompts free to use? Yes. The prompts on this page are written by the GenTidy team and are free to copy and use. Commercial use of the images you generate is covered by GenTidy's terms, which haven't been published yet.
