Seedance 1.5 Pro Prompts for Short AI Videos

Seedance 1.5 Pro works best with a prompt that gives one subject, one main action, one camera move and a short style note, which fits a single 5-second shot. This page collects copy-ready 5-second Seedance prompts for product spins, character moments, scenery and social clips that you can run in the GenTidy web studio.

Each clip in GenTidy is 5 seconds at 720p and costs 80 credits. Swap the bracketed parts for your own subject. Learn more about the model on the Seedance 1.5 Pro page.

The 5-second prompt formula

The formula is Subject + Movement + Environment + Camera + Style, which follows the order in BytePlus's official Seedance 1.5 Pro prompt guide.

PartWhat to writeExample
SubjectWho or what, described by stable features"a small orange robot with round blue eyes"
MovementOne main action, with a degree word"slowly raises one hand and waves"
EnvironmentWhere it happens, light and time of day"on a windowsill at sunset"
CameraOne camera move or a fixed shot"slow push-in from medium shot to close-up"
StyleA short look and mood note"soft 3D animation, warm colors"

BytePlus treats environment, camera and style as optional. If you leave out the camera, the model picks its own.

One shot, one move: why short prompts work for 5 seconds

Five seconds is about one shot, so a prompt with one action and one camera move is more likely to be followed in full. BytePlus's guide recommends a clear subject and motion, key visual cues, and degree words such as "slowly" or "gradually". In practice:

Product video prompts

Product clips work best with a slow orbit or push-in on a clean background. For the still product image first, see Seedream prompts.

1. Turntable spin

[A pair of white running shoes] on a round white pedestal, rotating slowly. The camera stays fixed at eye level. Soft studio lighting, light gray background, clean commercial look. 1:1.

2. Push-in reveal

[A glass perfume bottle with a gold cap] on a black stone surface. The camera pushes in slowly from a medium shot to a close-up of the cap. Thin mist drifts past, dramatic side lighting. 9:16.

3. Pour shot

Iced coffee being poured slowly into [a clear glass with ice cubes] on a wooden counter. Static close-up shot. Morning light from a window, droplets on the glass, fresh and bright. 3:4.

4. Unboxing moment

Two hands slowly lift the lid off [a small kraft paper gift box], revealing [a ceramic candle] inside. Top-down static shot. Soft daylight, neutral linen background, calm mood. 1:1.

Character and mascot prompts

Character prompts should describe the character by fixed features so it stays consistent. Use your own characters; avoid well-known third-party characters.

5. Mascot wave

A small orange robot with round blue eyes and a short antenna stands on a desk and slowly waves one hand at the camera. Static medium shot. Soft 3D animation look, warm office light. 16:9.

6. Looking up

A girl with a short black bob and a yellow raincoat stands on a city sidewalk, then slowly looks up as rain stops. The camera rises gently from her boots to her face. Hand-drawn animation look, wet reflections, soft evening light. 9:16.

7. Plush character bounce

A fluffy white plush bunny with long floppy ears hops once on a pastel bed and lands softly. The camera orbits slowly around it at a low angle. Cozy, pastel colors, soft focus background. 1:1.

Scenery and mood prompts

Scenery clips need little action, so spend the words on light and camera movement.

8. Misty mountains

Layers of misty green mountains at sunrise, clouds drifting slowly through the valleys. The camera pans slowly from left to right. Soft golden light, calm, wide shot. 16:9.

9. Ocean waves

Gentle waves rolling onto a pale sand beach, foam spreading and pulling back. Static low-angle shot close to the water. Overcast soft light, cool blue tones. 16:9.

10. Night street

A quiet narrow street at night after rain, lanterns glowing above, light reflecting in puddles. The camera moves forward slowly along the street. Warm and cool light mix, cinematic, still air. 16:9.

11. Ink landscape

A Chinese ink-wash landscape where a small boat drifts slowly across a misty river beneath tall peaks. The camera pans slowly right. Monochrome ink with a light blue wash, lots of empty space. 16:9.

Social clip prompts

GenTidy supports 9:16, so vertical social clips work well. Keep one clear focal point near the center so it survives cropping.

12. Cozy desk loop

A steaming cup of tea on a desk next to an open notebook, steam rising slowly, a pen rolling gently to a stop. Static top-down shot. Warm lamp light, cozy evening mood. 9:16.

13. Outfit reveal

A person in a beige trench coat turns slowly to face the camera on a sunny street. The camera pulls back from a medium close-up to a full shot. Natural light, fashion editorial look. 9:16.

14. Food close-up

A spoon slowly breaks into a soft-boiled egg on a bowl of ramen, yolk flowing out. Static extreme close-up. Steam rising, warm light, rich colors. 9:16.

FAQ

How detailed should a 5-second video prompt be? One to three sentences: one subject described by stable features, one main action, an optional setting, one camera move and a short style note.

How do I control camera movement in Seedance? Name one move in plain words and say where it starts and ends, for example "the camera pushes in slowly from a medium shot to a close-up". Write "static shot" if you want the camera to stay still.

Why does my video ignore part of the prompt? Usually because the prompt asks for more than fits in one shot. Cut it down to one action and one camera move, and add a degree word like "slowly".

Can I make longer videos in GenTidy? GenTidy's web studio currently makes 5-second clips.

How many credits does each video cost? 80 credits per 5-second, 720p video. Pricing will be announced when payments open.
